i suppose i’m helping to send this country to hell in a handbasket. DANG it!!
truth is, though, it’s folks like this who scare the crap out of me. single-issue voting is unwise, and folks like this – the zealots – they worry me more than either of the candidates.
and these folks also embarrass me as a christian.
maybe i ought to take her advice and stop calling myself one.

Where was that word for the Lord that I missed? Last I checked, McCain wasn’t Mr. Moral. Oh, and what about all those words in Scripture about how we treat the poor and helping others? It seemed to be a part of what Israel’s government was supposed to do. I found them both to be immoral on some issues and right on some other ones.
So I voted for irony. A black family in the White House built by slaves. I love it.

Remember I used to be a born-again Christian. It was clap-trap just like this that got me thinking and my search for truth led me to become the godless contented heathen that I am today.
